Blue Collar StartUp. A brand and platform built for the trades.
Blue Collar StartUp is a podcast and media brand dedicated to empowering the next generation of trades entrepreneurs — sharing real stories from real blue collar business owners to educate and inspire. Five Towers designed the logo, built the brand, and created the website from scratch.
Who they are, and why they came to us.
Blue Collar StartUp is a podcast and media brand on a mission to interview, educate, and empower the next generation of blue collar entrepreneurs.
Publishing a new episode every Wednesday, they feature real trades business owners sharing their stories — from starting out with nothing to building multi-million dollar operations. The show reaches listeners nationally across YouTube, Rumble, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
When they came to Five Towers, they had no web presence at all — no logo, no brand, no site. They needed everything built from the ground up, and they needed it to feel credible and professional enough to attract sponsors, listeners, and guests of the caliber they were going after.
The Challenge
Starting from scratch.
Blue Collar StartUp had the content, the mission, and the target audience — but no brand infrastructure to match. Everything needed to be built from zero, with a look and feel that could hold its own alongside the established shows and media brands they were competing with for listeners and sponsors.
-
No logo, no brand identity — the visual foundation needed to be created before anything else could begin.
-
No website — the show had no central home online beyond social media and podcast directories.
-
The site needed to serve multiple purposes: attract new listeners, convert sponsors, showcase the episode archive, and surface the most popular content prominently.
-
The brand needed to feel authentic to the trades audience — blue collar, bold, and credible — without feeling cheap or amateurish.
What We Did
The work, and the thinking behind it.
Five Towers built Blue Collar StartUp’s entire brand and web presence from scratch — logo, identity, and a WordPress site designed to grow with the show.
A brand identity that feels built for the trades.
We designed the Blue Collar StartUp logo and visual identity from scratch — a bold, patch-style mark that feels authentic to the trades audience without being a cliché. The patch-like aesthetic nods to the craftsmanship and pride of the blue collar world, translating across the website, social media, podcast artwork, and sponsor materials with a consistent, professional presence wherever the show appears.
A home base for every episode and every listener.
We designed and built the Blue Collar StartUp site in WordPress — structured around the show’s primary goals of growing the listener base, attracting sponsors, and making the episode archive easy to navigate. The homepage surfaces the latest episode and links directly to every platform the show is distributed on. A full episode archive gives returning listeners a way to browse the back catalog, and a most popular episodes section — ranked by views — helps new visitors find the highest-value content fast.
Structured for search from day one.
On-page SEO was baked in at build — metadata, schema markup for the podcast and organization, semantic heading structure, and internal linking across episode and mission pages. Each episode page is structured to perform in search, giving the show a growing SEO footprint as the archive expands week over week.
What We Did
What changed after launch.
Blue Collar StartUp launched with a brand and platform that could stand alongside established media properties — credible enough to attract sponsors, navigable enough to keep listeners engaged, and built to grow as the episode archive continues to expand.
The site is maintained on a Five Towers hosting plan, keeping it fast and reliable as the episode archive grows week over week.
